01Information we collect

We collect the following types of information when you use Meridian Tax AI:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
• Property data: addresses, account numbers, and related property information you submit for analysis.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form, the waitlist, or email.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and device/browser information.
• Payment information: processed securely through third-party payment processors (we do not store card details).

02How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Meridian Tax AI platform and services.
• To generate property tax analysis reports, evidence packets, and protest predictions.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• To monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

03Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers: cloud hosting (Railway, Supabase), email delivery (Brevo), analytics, and payment processors (Stripe).
• Public data sources: we query county appraisal districts, RentCast, and other property data APIs on your behalf.
• Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, or governmental request.

04Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

05Data retention

We retain your account data, including your analyses and reports, for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete that data as described below.

06Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time with "Delete account" on your dashboard. Firm accounts, and anyone who prefers email, can ask us at info@meridiantax.ai; we act on email requests within 45 days.

Deleting your account permanently removes your login, profile, saved properties, analyses, reports, property watches and any waitlist or contact-form messages under your email, and cancels your subscription.

We keep only what we must:

• Payment and invoice records, which Stripe retains for tax and fraud-prevention obligations.
• Security and error logs, which refer to a random account ID rather than your name or email.
• Analyses an associate ran for a firm's clients, which belong to that firm's client records.
• Public appraisal-district and TDLR license records, which aren't data you gave us.

07Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
• Opt out of marketing communications.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

08Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

09Children's privacy

Meridian Tax AI is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
